Update and Interact with WordPress on Your iPhone

Update and Interact with WordPress on Your iPhone

This is a guest post from Olga Ionel

If you have premium WordPress theme and an iPhone, you will find that it’s now easier than ever to keep in touch with your blog and keep it up to date. You can head to the App Store and download the WordPress application, which is going to work with the iPhone, the iPad, and the iPod Touch. The download is free, and you will find that you are going to have quite a bit of control over your blog right through your mobile device. The application is going to make it easy to do all of the things that you need to do to your site, and you can do it wherever you happen to be.

Post Items and Add Photos

You might find that you are out with your phone or tablet and you want to write a post. Perhaps you are at a live event and you want to report how things are going. Instead of just talking to the social media sites and providing snippets, you will now be able to write a complete post to your site. You will be able to create the posts, edit them, and more. You can even put in links easily, title the post, choose your category, and even write your tags.

Of course, in today’s world, you will probably want to add some photos as well. You will be able to do that easily through the app. Now, you don’t have to wait to post those photos right away to your blog!

Some might believe that writing a post on a phone could be difficult. While you probably aren’t going to want to write all of your WordPress posts via your iPhone, you will find that it’s possible to write short posts with little trouble. You can turn your phone and rotate the screen to have a bit more room for your keyboard if you need. It’s a bit easier to type on an iPad though.

Take Control of Your Comments

Comments are a huge part of the WordPress platform, or any blogging platform for that matter. You want to be able to deal with your comments, and sometimes you aren’t near your desktop. That doesn’t mean that you have to leave some of those comments in limbo though. With the WordPress app, you will be able to moderate the comments, edit, and even reply. This helps to keep you in touch with the people who are on your blog and interacting. If you are going to be out all day, it’s a great way to make sure that you remain close to your blog and can handle any arguments or issues that might break out in the comments section!

Location Mapping

Another great feature of the iPhone that you will now be able to integrate with your blog is location mapping. Now, you will be able to add and share your location whenever you post to your blog. You just have to touch the Geotag icon on the screen and WP will locate where you are! This is a fun option if you want to share where you are with your readers. Of course, it is optional.

The WordPress app is going to make it easier than ever to keep up with your blog, so now you have no excuse not to update it! This tool is great for a mobile blogger who wants to get out and interact with the world. The app is free, so you might want to get it and see how it works for you. If you aren’t a fan, you can always stop using it and go back to posting solely from your desktop.
